I finally updated this site to django 1 - 1.0.2, specifically. It took me a while, simply because i was an idiot and the way i customized the comments application so it would use reCAPTCHA to detect non-humans was just retarded. That, and i was lazy.
The proof of that lazyness is that you'll notice the captcha is gone when you try to enter a comment - i didn't put it back in. I mostly did, but then commented it out. There's some basic security stuff in the comments that does try to catch spammer bots. If i find i have spam problems, i'll put it back in, but the right way, which is not by copying the preview view and a bunch of templates from the comments app, and patching them.
You're probably thinking "this guy has maybe 3 visitors on a lucky day - who does he think he is to fear spammers, nobody cares!", but you'd be surprised: i do get them, everyfuckinbody does, even your granny who used GoDaddy's site builder to put up a website last week - she'll get spammers (and don't use GoDaddy, they're Evil). Anyways, spammers totally trashed a wiki i was maintaining, until the day most maintenance had to do with reverting spammer's edits. Oh, and, dude, show some respect: Google Analytics tells me i've got a whopping 7.81 daily visits.
Anyways, if something's odd with the blog, it's probably something i overlooked, please do tell me. As a token gesture of adding features to it, i put in pagination - you'll see some page links in the bottom. Now all i need to do is to make the CSS much nicer, put in email notifications and comments RSS, and some AJAX for commenting, and lots of other little things...
